Good Friday edition

 Gawd almighty, does it ever stop raining here?

Yes, the rain rather woke me up this morning so I'll need to get a nap in later on I guess but we are entering Easter which for me at least does bring back memories of things like making easter bonnets and cards.

For reasons best known to them in charge we didn't do Easter Egg hunts when armed with a set of clues you run around like a maniac trying to hind said eggs hiding, in, under or over things and you get to keep them!

There is a box of chocolates from my Aunt here I can chomp through and a couple of eggs although being me I do have to be mindful that dark chocolate is a maigraine trigger having had sadly some bad childhood memories of eating them and being out of commission for a few days.

Choco stain thoughts

Well with all this talk about a group of boys actually spending time together away as just that, my mind started flipping back a few decades when Andy and I, the original inseperable pair were a unit and where he'd see me practising my chess moves on my beloved magnetic chess set that having been bought in my last junior school year came with me to boarding school at 11 plus.

We had weekend newspapers so I looked at the chess piece that showed an extract from a game and recreate it on that set I had with me.

 

It is Good Friday today and so in few days time I'll be reliving a favourite experience of mine involving this and probably another easter egg, trying not to get chocolate stains on my shorts which is very much a finger wagging thing.

Easter edition

This is likely to be a text book syncro-post which is not something that happens every week but given the way Easter fits into the publishing schedule you can't avoid it although each will be tweaked.

Some of us are blessed with people who do see the more child-like side with them taking the role of being aunt or uncle substitutes who treat us more as that boy or girl although we don't have formalized relationship, certainly involving living with or being a carer of.

So it was that they after visiting them this Tuesday presented me with this lovely white choco Egg which is a bit bigger than I normally have which was really kind of them.

It's been rather damp and actually windy here across the week needing to find more protective attire than usual so this seems apt as I took positive delight in jumping into puddles feeling more like a carefree little boy

Easter Edition

 By jove chaps doesn't it come round soon enough!

Well we are entering the great Easter Weekend today with Good Friday although I had have to remind my Mum it IS easter with schools being off for a fortnight and while I do read the Easter Story over this period even I have to say the other part is just great too.

Easter for me always meant craft things like making Easter Bonnets and cards and naturally although as a good number of you know I lose a good number of days in a year to migraines, Easter Eggs which were things I always had when I was officially younger and being age dysphoric it's just the same today being that eternal boy.

That Dinosaur Egg will be consumed this weekend I am sure.
