Content making and Forum business

There are a number of things I do wish to talk about here this week.

Probably the first is that the Chromebook I bought was better specified than expected having a glossy screen more like a tv's and that it was the dear version that supports the use of a stylus for or other writing directly the screen applications.

The other thing really concerns our forum and that is handling different views is really one of the ways you can tell a good forum than one that's not because avoiding politics there are things we as individuals have our own strong views over.

They can include the differences around role playing and age regression/dysphoria which may show in terms of the kinds of activity people may seek out from others be it play or over any kind of sanctions for transgressing  boundaries while doing it.

Some may be looking for those sanctions in a preordained storyline, while others prefer them in the background coming in when they've crossed a line.

Another is given we are talking about adult boys mainly body hair especially on the legs where some people prefer to remove that thing we noticed sprouting in our mid teens feeling perhaps it makes feel unconfortable in our skins as in may ways still little boys - I have strong dysphoric reactions to it personally - while others feel little or no need to remove it.

To me a bad forum pushes a "group thought", making those who may feel different unable to take part and not having their personal feelings respected with little or no honest debate.

We don't.

There may be as in a good many things in life a common view, a consensus, among most of us but difference is respected and ideas explored because through that everybody learns about the variety of views and why they feel the way the do themselves.

Personally I feel it is important to know why you feel the way you do (and why someone else may not).

Anybody who may take a minority view is always welcome and ought not to feel they need to leave over what is at the end of the day, a personal opinion of little consequence to others.

And before I go I would strongly prefer people to use avatars as there are a few of you out there who haven't uploaded one.

It obviously needs to be Safe for work, but please do so.

Thoughts for February

We enter a new month which has seen some growth at the forum with new members contributing to our discussions around past childhoods and adult little boy/adult schoolboy life which is a always a good thing cos everyone brings a different take to the whole.

We've always kept things to that which as boys then we knew and were appropriatefor within our eyes and ears back then rather than getting more into things that come under "adult content" rather like this blog does and for the same reasons.

Our world include a lot of wholesome stuff whatever misfortunes as individuals we may of faced and for me there is a lot of the spirit of Christopher Robin and Winnie The Pooh in that very boyish innocence and to me honouring that matters.

For me there is something quite profound in what AA Milne sets out around the value of friendship, true lasting friendships and looking for the good because they help sustain our basic human needs even in the most difficult of situations we may find ourselves.

These are the things we need to be prepared to hold on to and where needed, renew.

The cup of love for one another replenishes the soul.

The Traditional Schoolboy 2

In April of this year I talked of my arrival at the social media site, Tumblr and at the same time introduced myself to a group of people usually in the adult little boy or Adult Schoolboy communities that I had spotted prior to joining it
So far in I have around one thousand two hundred fifty posts on it, a good proportion being originals with commentary  too and have over two hundred fifty followers which you may say is actually pretty good going for a completely fresh account and tumblr blog.
Being on Tumblr has given me a number of opportunities to get to know more people, lead to me joining one site even though that's on a hiatus as of now and starting one of my own up.
Recently however, I had the opportunity of taking over another's underused blog on Tumblr and after some negotiation last week I have taken that over and it's that I wish to talk a little about.
There were a number of things that lead to it of one was in becoming a group blog even if group participation is low and usually amounts to the odd submission and having it minded when I'm away, being a group blog leads to problems on tumblr.
For reasons best known to itself they remove the ability for the  blog to send 'Asks' to other blogs and to send and receive streamed messaging which on the face of it would actually be jolly useful between people on a group tumblr nevermind anything else.
Getting it gives me the means now of interacting more with people onsite because I can send an ask and message a blog whereas before I could only receive asks.
The other thing is I can use it to post the odd more cuter post on there as well as some discussion around topics without getting the main tumbler being too discourse heavy.
That blog has needless to say been retitled by me to The Traditional Schoolboy 2 after my main one and while I have kept their  header which I quite like I have added my blog description on and change the avatar over to mine which unless forced into it I have no intentions of changing.
One thing you will find in that description is clear cut statement about it being being the blog of masculine gendered adult schoolboy with no ifs and maybes in there which was not in that blogs original and was added a short while back to my original one.
Some of that ties in with the changes in my life over the time of both this blog and being on tumblr and some is also connected to own views around how men and boys  are seen and treated in society.
In general I have a lot of time for the Men's Movement in their work helping men and boys find the joy of being themselves in a male body, in looking a better ways to work together that include respect the rights of men and boys to be themselves and for the things that make us different to be recognized and respected.
To be different is not to be inferior or 'a problem' but a strength not least in the business of raising boys and helping men to be the best they can when having that first hand knowledge of what makes a lad or a bloke 'tick' is a lot more useful having just done a course on 'gender studies' particularly if the person is a female cos ultimately she can't know 'us' anymore than we know what it means to be a girl or a woman. It's an experienced thing she can't have.

You may also of seen this around sign around as well and that also is a for a reason namely that there is a lot be said for having spaces for and spending time in slots that are just for boys to talk and bond as boys together.
It's certainly not to suggest there is anything wrong with mixing with females but to recognizes as some women and female organizations themselves do that single gender spots have a place within a mixed gendered environment for discussions and bonding.
Being honest about this and by having such spaces males and females can have more co-operative relationships that recognize and respect differences.
While I haven't a problem with female followers, my tumblrs are targeted at and are for boys.
I also feel the drive to push boys toward more overly feminine ways not only fails to address the way in which for most of us we  are hard wired to be males but also leads to a load of lost boys, boys that don't seem to know what it is it they are, how we act and how to make that work for them,  leaving them out of  the male social circle that would aid them mature as adults and unable to relate as a mature male to mature females later on in life with a role and purpose in it.

ASB and Forums for Adult Boys

Hello and welcome to another week here at That Uniformed Schoolboy where  we will be talking about something that matters to us, getting in contact and being able to discuss our lives.
For a variety of reasons forums for us don't tend to last long, common ones being been seen as some as 'in' with adult content or seeing what we do as a 'fetish' although it has to be said fetishes need not be remotely sexual strictly speaking but a good number of hosts have issues around this
One that relaunched in April was adultschoolboy.org which I joined a good number and  in effect rejoined but while it helped me no end, the forum' technical side had a lot issues effecting the hosting on a web server.

Dealing with that required sadly a good chunk of the functionality needed to be removed such as messaging which at least at my end appeared to be a resource hog and the forum sections which given last post displayed first nature was a must.
It also was the case in removing those sections, the posts made within them went which included a good few I made around the more being that school-aged child again.
The forum for all that was removed did continue on with quite a bit of activity with posts on it and people exchanging emails, tumblr addresses etc so at least it was fulfilling that need.
It went for a period of a couple of days reappearing on Wednesday late afternoon on a new host.
What different people want or need from a forum can vary and for some the spanking side which may feature pictures can be a turn-off.
I have made a place which is different to ASB in a number of ways to which a link is on the Favourite Sites tab on this blog.
The Uniformed Regressors Spot, to give its full title is a Tapatape based forum for discussing Uniform, past childhoods and being an adult child taking in regression.
What is NOT going to be on their is anything sexual nor spanking  related with associated contacts because we're in the mindset of an legal adult who is back to being a child with all that appropriate for him as if he were a legal child and with the same restrictions as any decent grown up would have for him.
If he has anything connected to spanking in his life that remains strictly between him and the adult(s) off site.
If you are prepared to follow the rules and feel the need for such a discussion point you are welcome to apply.
